Can Strawberries and Firefinches be in same aviary?
I do not want to compromise my Strawberries in any way. Would it be okay to put a pair of Fire Finches in the same aviary? Someone told me that since they are both red, it was not a good idea. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I still can't figure out how to manipulate the camera.
I would love to take/post some pics. Especially of my Berry male.. his color is so vibrant.

They seem to do fine until it is time to breed... Then the Strawberries become very aggressive towards them. It is a red with red thing.

The FIC says that males in color may be aggressive to each other, but I've never had a problem with it. My Strawberries and Fires are all such easy-going birds that I can't imagine them ever not getting along. I'd go ahead and put them together and just watch it for a while--there's always the exception.
I have a young male Berry in color now, cuddled up in a flight cage with two other young male Berries not in color. A fourth young male Berry is cuddled up with two Goldbreast males. The male in color also will cuddle up with a lone male BCCB in the same cage. These boys all get along just great. Of course, there are no females to stir up trouble!

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate all your input. I'm going to try them together. I think if the space is big enough, they'll stay out of each other's way.
