What other Finches can you mix with zebras?
I know gouldians get along with zebras but i was wondering what other species do. I would love eventually to have a mixed aviary. I like the shaft tails, java finches, cordon bleus, and owl finches. Do any of these do well with them?

Depends on the size of your aviary. Most austrailian finches can be housed together.

Pretty much everything will get along with zebras provided you aren't cramping them in a shoebox together. I think when given proper space they really aren't as aggressive as they are said to be. I have a nice pair of zebras who get along with cordon bleus, owls, gouldians, orange cheeked waxbills, stars, and green singers. Another pair won't tolerate anybody, but I think it's just because they have never been in a large space with other birds, just smaller cages. It all just depends on the zebras.

I found that my zebras were hardest on each other and pretty mild mannered with other species. They were particularly aggressive to each other when i kept zebra pairs. When they decided it was time to breed, it was like gang warfare between the zebras.

Most all the other species will live with Zebras it is just whether they like to or not... Zebras are so aggressive when they want to be and just cause turmoil in my opinion if the other species will allow them to dominate them.
I would pick species that are just as aggressive that wouldn't let themselves be pushed around. Parsons are the first that came to mind for me. Javas would certainly work too. Shaftails, Owls and Cordons are going to depend on the pairs.

I'm jumping on with my question that relates to this topic.
So, will Spice Finches do well with Zebras and Societies?
