I make a habit of feeding them every day from my hand and some of the other finches are getting really curious - wondering what the babies are getting that they aren't - mum even came close to sitting on my hand today but decided not to - I will get there in the end I can understand why the parents and others are a bit shy as they were shop bought and the babies don't really know any different.
