If you drive them, call the Dept of Agriculture for Alaska. As far as an airline goes see which ones fly in there and contact them to find out what they require you to do.
I found this, does Delta fly in there?

I'm pretty sure that only Alaska Airlines gets into Juneau. They allow pets in the cabin but I'll have to read up for more details. If I were to do that I'd be most worried about the finches chirping and beeping to much and disturbing the other passengers. Perhaps they would be quiet if I put a sheet over the cage.

Yes putting a dark sheet/towel over the cage will definitely quiet them - they will think it's nighttime. Check with your airline to see what the requirements are... and let us know too!

I agree with Liz, if they are covered or in a travel box like the ones they use for shipping and it is dark, that combined with the motion and different noise they will most likely be quiet. I hope you are able to find more out soon, it will make your move easier if your mind is put at ease with what to do for your birds.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to settle with just painted ladies because they are non-toxic and legal.cindy wrote:Yes keep us posted and we would love pictures of your new home...will you be doing the butterflies in your aviary when you get settled?
Let me know if either my husband or I can help you with any information on setting them up. Anytime.
