It's all in hand my little Aussie convict friend....We got the threat of snow in the next week...but new birdroom and aviaries will get sorted as soon as the concrete base is sorted.Then a couple of months to buy stock as the weather improves.
By the way Mick some time back you said your job and hobby was under threat...like so many others worldwide...What's the story today???

My husband has built me these in the past, this is very similar to what we have in our bird house now. I keep telling him he should make them in different sizes or custom sizes for others.

am still looking for a new job, may have to go back to doing fly in & fly out at the mines in western australia.
luckily the birds are safe, breeding so much that the young I sell covers the feed bill with a little left over for more birds

Good luck Mick hope things sort out for you. I reached retirement age last month...joke...can't live on the pittance our lot call a pension. Starting trading again in the new year.I love the way politicians calculate the state pension here so that it equals what that lot spend on lunch...Their allowance for lunch weekly is equal to what they pay pensioners to live on for a whole week....after paying in for 50 years....Don't ya just love politicians??

Iron ore mining is some hard work.... dangerous too. Here in the coal mines they use to take the canaries down with them...when the canary fell off the perch...it was time to go get some fresh air for the men. Do they, did they use the canaries for the same in Australlian mines?

most of the mines in australia are what they call open-cut. a great big hole in the ground. hard to describe, easiest thing to do is use google earth and have a look at a place called kalgoorlie in western australia.
