I was doing a search for softbills and found this article. It is very interesting and makes some very valid points about diet.

That's a good article, Cindy and seems to back up why I do not ever put my birds on the 'austerity diet'. All my birds get the same diet every day of the year (except for the added leaf of lettuce now and then).

Liz, I feed and leave out the same thing everyday also. I do give greens maybe once or twice a week. 90% of the greens are thrown out. The money wasted on veggies I would rather put towards other nurishing foods like fruit pate and miracle meal and the all popular Herb Salad.

I wish it were that easy to feed the family.
But nooo, we humans have to have different tasting foods all the time.

I hear ya Liz...my teen is getting picky. She used to eat anything. We went through a stage of one of her friends being a vegan, the stories about meat and fish at the table. Thank goodness that was short lived.
