3 babies slow to color and 1 done!

Post by akidsgal » Sun Dec 27, 2009 1:46 pm

Here are a few of my babies from this year. It seems the male is the first colored and trying to hunt up a lady

The girls are later and the Blue that is coloring now looks to be a PB Pastel? He is a lighter blue then my hen.

Since he is a pastel, what may I pair him with to get more blues? Will I get silvers and yellows too? His parents are Cock= RH PB GB Dilute and Hen= BH WB BB. Out of the 4 chicks only he survived the move. There looked to be a yellow or silver in the crew. They will be breeding again after their molts. They are in a pretty heavy molt.

Yes - keep that bird!!! They are the best for genetics!!! Especially if he is split to WB and split to BH - you can get almost every color out of him if he is split to WB. I would pair him to a GB female that is split to blue and you will get your blues. :)

Since he is /White if you pair him to a WB /Blue hen you will get a whole gamut of possibilities :)

But yes, you will also get silvers and yellow/blues out of him, too.

We moved in Sept. He was born just after. I didn't look at my cards but would guess around my daughters bday which is the 16th. What a present huh!
