wild java sparrows

Got some pics of this wild java sparrow while I was in Maui, he was looking around for nesting material.

What a treat. Its always lovely to see a species in its natural state. Free and curious character.

Wow that is really nice. I owned Javas at one time. It must be wonderful to see them flying free in their "home land".

Yeah it was great to see them wild, they are really cool. I saw a lot of other neat birds too including Japanese white-eyes which are also very cute. It's too bad that where I live they are prohibited. I would need a license to keep them, and from what I've heard the system they have set up makes it incredibly hard to get a license. I'd probably have better luck getting a falconry license than a license for a little java sparrow.
