My Parrot finches

Post by isabird » Sat Feb 13, 2010 11:41 pm

A while back I traded a scarlet chested parakeet baby for a pair of young red-headed parrot finches. Some of you may have remembered that I lost my female to egg binding....I was very sad and so was my male...
Anyway, I recently got a sea-green mate for him. She is still young so she is in my flight with my juvenile lady gouldians separated from the male red headed parrot finch. I plan to move them together when she is 7+ months old.
I just thought I would share pictures of both of them since they are so pretty :)

BB,
I have had many seagreen chicks this past year... 8 I believe. But I am even farther than the ones mentioned above... Panhandle of Florida. There is a breeder much closer to you who I had some stock flown in from. She shows her birds and has some real beauties. She is in Norfolk Virgina...much closer and she ships via airline. PM me for her contact.
Also I had 4 of my original breeding stock flown up frpm South FL. Jorge Valera, he has really nice birds and will ship via airlines. He will sell normals for like $80.00 and seagreens for 100 to 120..... so the lesser price will make up for the airline shipping, which is at a low price right now. I'll be glad to give you his contact also.
Even though his birds are less expensive they are not inferior birds... really nice ones.

Yes I plan to let them breed in 3 or so months. She is still too young. Hopefully I will have some luck [-o<

Beautiful! I have red-throated parrot finches, and I love them to pieces! They are so fun and interesting to watch. Good luck on breeding, and keep us posted! :)
