The wire will arrive possibly late next week or early the following - it will only take a day or two to install the wire and then I will have to clean again and get the room the right temps. I would say 3 to 4 weeks at most.

I'm going to keep a good many birds in the room they are in for now - I don't want to upset any spring breeding due to moving them.

This is great that both of you are getting your new aviaries almost finished. You must be so excited!

Thank you everyone - I'm excited! It has been a long wait for many reasons but the completion is near finally :)

Donna - are you still going to put the FRP panel up in your room?

Neil and I finished that some time ago now - it looks good - I didn't think I would like it but it has grown on me now.

Misty,

Yes, I am going to put the FRP panels around the bottom to just above the bottom of the windows.

All we have left is..... a little touch up painting, finishing up the cement floor, a little trim work and making the entrance door and steps down. (and hooking up the heat which we won't need until next year.)

Have you seen it since we put the last window in the end? It is looking great and I am soooo excited.

I have bought some swings and will cut branches and put two cheap silk trees out there along with gouldians stress perches and new nest boxes. (along with a new fountain)

Can't wait!! The problem is the last two weekends have been beautiful weather and hubby has had to work.

Are you talking about the exterior door from the outside of the house and or the door that will separate the two rooms? Don't you still have to amend the wall that has your window, ac unit and where a new door needs to go?

Misty

The only door that will enter the new aviary is the one that we have to amend coming from the old aviary. There will not be an exterior door. If I did that I would have to build a safety door.....

So what did you put in the space that we walked thru each time? A window or is that the last thing you are going to finish? As in finish making the wall?
