Oh great day...

I just discovered that my female, Millet, has two eggs in the nest. I guess they did get funky

So I should be documenting the days in order to estimate the date of hatching?

The most important date to document is the date they start incubating (all day and at night), but it doesn't hurt to record what dates you saw each egg laid.

Alright, and it is 13 days to hatching. Also, we candle at the 4th or 5th day if we can get to the eggs with out disturbing the parents?

I wouldn't bother candling the eggs unless you really have to. I can usually tell if my birds eggs are fertile b/c they turn a different color after about 8-10 days. Grey eggs mean fertile and yellow eggs mean not fertile. It has worked that way every time I've had hatchlings.
