Thank you Sally :D They do seem to really love the freedom from the cages. Especially the other species - the Gouldians really aren't that busy still - they do more singing and sun basking than anything right now.

The Parrot Finches are in space heaven - they are just non-stop and I'm already seeing a difference in their feather quality. Not so ratty looking from the cages.

We need to build you an aviary Sally

In my opinion..... parrot finches thrive in an open aviary. They are very busy birds and deserve the absolute most space they can be given.

Misty, you would be surprised to see the pied parrot finch I got from you. It is absolutely gorgeous!!! It's coloring is everything I had hoped for!!! =D> =D>

I agree Donna - they do so much better in very large spaces.

I took some pictures of the girls today - most are molting or just finished a molt.

Here is Mary (BH PB BB) FINALLY molted =D> And, she turned out to be a real beauty :D

I know these aren't the best pictures but I couldn't resist and all I had was my cell phone :)

I love when they are in the bowl and all you see is tails in the air

Gorgeous, both birds and aviary! Well done to you both for getting through the tough times of glitches-incorrect sizes. Now you and your finches can enjoy the space.
It looks lovely in there.

WHAT???!!! A boy!!! Are you sure? It never sings and it must think he is super stud romeo in there with all those girls!!! I will check tomorrow to be certain but that is a girl! Well it better be after all this time!

I took video too but I guess they are too long to send by email to upload... but Donna got to see two of the videos of them tonight

I too love to see them all act like a flock and the videos actually show that really well! :) Thank you everyone for the kind words :)
