Floyd has those all the time and I think every time they are gorgeous but they are large birds!

Do they get along with most finches or will you keep them alone?

They are supposedly very aggressive, especially towards smaller birds. There isn't too much info out there so I will keep them alone. I really want to breed these, they are so spectacular! I am in the process of setting up their own cage now.

Money was an issue then. They were $350.00 a pair. They have come down to $250.00 so I decided to go for it. I also have been wanting some more Bl & Wh mannikins and they are also available now. So I also ordered two more pair. I have one pair now and one pair of the Rufous back. I'd love to find some more rufous back mannikins but I have not seen them available lately.

Congrats! They sure are lookers. There is nothing like getting new birds, especially if its a new species.

I saw a lot a few months back, but was not tempted. Pretty as they are I cannot house them seperately and could not take the chance of them being agressive, I have plenty red in my aviary. They are quite large besides.

Enjoy yours and looking forward to your pictures.
