Spice Finch?

I've seen a few juvie spice finches at petsmart, might get one or two. Does any body keep/breed these? I would like some info on them. I'm going to need more cages! #-o

I have 2 hens. I love them. Very quiet and they get along geat with my zebra hens. I got mine from PetSmart also. I got my first one for free because she only has one leg. They said she was there 2 months and nobody every noticed it :? I had to get the second so she could have a friend :lol:

:lol: the petsmart people would probaly try selling me it half price! I have a lone zebra hen so she'll probaly live with the spice finches if/when I get some

One of my favorites also. They are quiet and peaceful but like space and the bigger the flights the better. They also like a colony environment where they can choose their own mates. I foolishly traded mine a while back and hope to get more. I miss having them.

Mine are in a 6 ft long flight and like to do "laps" :lol: They are very entertaining to watch

I have a Spice pair and one juvenile from last years's first clutch. They are now sitting on three eggs due the first week of February. I love to watch them. Mine enjoy the larger flight, but for breeding, I have them in a smaller breeding cage.

Deborah, what a nest!! And Cindy, they sell them for 21, but they have them in the society cage (idiots dont know they're young spice)

At PetSmart? That's below their regular price. They sell for around $25 and at the PetSmarts around here they sell them for 29.99 and then go on sale for aroun $20.99 or your $21.

Here they are always 21 if they have them in stock, but since they are "societies" to the employees I can get them for 20. :lol:
