Found today (Pics added)

I did a nest inspection today on a few nests that I thought were not in use, planning to remove them.

in one of them I found a young bird (at least I only saw one), maybe 2 weeks old, has quite a few feathers.
I believe it is a baby painted finch but wont know for sure until it fledges

I couldnt wait for this little one to fledge, had to know what it was lol.
took it out of the nest for a couple of minutes today.
it is certainly a painted finch and is the only one in the nest.
not sure how the pics will look, it was my first time using the better halfs new camera :lol:

there are 2 pairs of painteds in the aviary, one pair had a nest with 4 eggs but :cry: all the eggs were clear. as I said I didnt even think this particular nest was in use lol.
if only I could be surprised like this more often
