Is the chick fully feathered and flying? If so it should be safe to remove the nest, if you want to be sure the parents won't start laying again.
If you can pick him up you could check if you see any injuries or defects on his legs, I once had a bird that injured himself when he fledged, but in a week or so got better and started flying and walking normally.
If he is still being fed and seems other vice ok, I would not worry to much unless he does not seem to be getting better in a few days.
If he keeps coming out - then he is meant to be out and there's nothing you can do to keep him in. Just let him hang out on the bottom of the cage for a few days - no harm.
