I have no other information about this bird, other than that this photo was taken in 2008 in a pet store in Northern Finland, where the birds came from other countries (not from local breeders etc). No info about birds age, parents, current location etc. Just this photo.
I would like to know what color mutation this bird is. Something I have never seen before of after this, not even in the internet. In Finnish forum someone said this could be fawn + CFW -cross, but in the ZebraFinchInfo -site fawn+CFW was shown as a CFW with fawn markings. I don't remember if this bird had really red/ruby eyed, but in the photo it kinda looks like that. But I'm not sure is that really the thing, or something to do with the flash of the camera...
Can anyone tell something more about birds like this, what mutation are they and are they rare? Or is it even a standard mutation, just a single bird with weird coloration? What kind of a combination could produce a bird like this?
Happy to hear your thoughts! And sorry for my clumsy English, it isn't my native language.
