Heya thanks so much! Yeah, there will be lots of fresh poop for her, he does nothing but eat so lots of that! Actually she gave me a vial with liquid that preserves the poop, so I've been collecting it non-stop since Tuesday. Every 10 minutes I am in the tank collecting poop on my fingers. I must really love this bird!!!!monotwine wrote: Get the freshest poop you can just before you give it to the vet. The fresher the better. LOL in the past with fecals that I needed doing I took a whole bunch of birds in the cage (non stressed types) and my vet took the poop right from out the cage to put under the microscope. Funny me walking around with a little hamster cage of birds, with no paper and lots of poop. BUT it did help to nail the problem.
I hope your vet manages to find something for you. Something you can treat easily.
Coccidiosis is a common ailment and if caught in time treatable and in the future preventable. The other head shaking thing could be a number of things.
Mites / bacterial infection / normal behavior.... one never knows. I'd lay off adding any extra meds until you have diagnosis.
Lets hope the vet can nail it on the head for you.
Best wishes for his total recovery.

I think the only thing that worries me today is the fast breathing. Right now he is going between his pellets and a big piece of mango with powdered bene-bac probiotics on it. He loves mango more than anything I feed him.
Off to the vet soon, I hope the test results come in fast....I can't wait any longer to get this sorted!
