Canary Molt!
Here are pics of my male canary Sunny with his nice normal feathers, and currently going through his molt. When he gets to this stage where his tail feathers have fallen out I always think he looks like a Peeps yellow chick marshmallow!

I don't think he is.. I'm actually not 100% sure which variety of canary he is.
I got him about four years ago from Petsmart and my best guesstimate is he's an American Singer

I've got a hen the same colour going thro her molt she looked like this 3 days ago now she's got some nice new tail feathers coming through he's a lovely looking bird btw and he's got some nice notes too.

I thought I had 2 canaries but their beaks look thinner than yours. One is ginger and one is green/yellow. i will try to get pictures up soon.

Beautiful bird. I remember when my male canary lost all of his tail feathers, it was hilarious.
