Spreckles, my friends and family all think I am a bit weird to get this excited. I'm quite used to getting the "you are strange" look now, lol!! I just find it all so fascinating and love learning more about their behavior

I call the Twinspots my little chickens
They quite literally spend ages digging in the dirt, looking for bugs and worms. If your birds are kept indoors, in a sterile environment, I would also be a bit hesitant to feed 'wild' food to them. But since my birds are outside, they already catch quite a few of the bugs themselves. I just help them out with the occasional feast. They also eat earwigs and those little grey bugs (think they are called Pill bugs?) All of this is why I deworm every 3 months
