Those that have known me since I joined know my first finch year was filled with me.
1. Having 5 adult society finch deaths and me handraising 8-9? Babies in an emergency
2. Prematurely taking babies out of a gouldian nest the second I panicked, and I handfed them to adulthood.
3. Hatching eggs in an incubator (which is extremely difficult, I dont recommend anyone do it), then handraising THOSE as well.
4 Pulling gouldian chicks from societies because I felt they slacked off the job within a week of them hatching the eggs.
OMG it was the most exhausting year of my life since I can remember. I must of hand raised about 20+ finches to adulthood last year . I had newborns in incubators, hatchlings in brooders and juvies in cages all at the same time screaming for pippettes, and log books of feedings that would make your head hurt.

"My average sleep night was 5 hours.
This is a real test of my will to keep slapping myself and let the parents do their job. This year will be a good year. I need to chill and relax.
