After I run the hb eggs through the food processor for about 3 seconds - I pour the eggs into a LARGE bowl and add: Orlux Tropical Finch eggfood, processed brocolli, carrots, (whatever other veggies I have on hand), soakseed well rinsed and drained after soaking in water and apple cider vinegar overnight or 12 - 24 hours. My finches get this every morning of every day of the year no matter what and they ALL flock to it every morning. Whether they are breeding or not. The babies and youngsters are raised on this and look forward to it as much as the adults.nixity wrote:Liz - do you add any corn meal or anything when you add broccoli etc. to the boiled egg?
I never did, but my biggest complaint when I did it this way was that it would just lump together into broccoli egg balls.
It wasn't until later I read you could add corn meal to dry it out and make it crumbly, but I haven't tried that yet..

If you haven't tried Orlux Tropical Finch eggfood - it's a dry commercial eggfood based on cornmeal and has krill in it along will egg (obviously) and lots of other WONDERFUL stuff for finches!
