Thanks Craig. The first pair of Diamond Firetails were from Casy at $240/pair. This one (along with the BFPF's) was from John in Norfolk for $50. :!: The difference being John is a breeder and Casy is a petshop which had to have the DF's shipped from Montreal plus his mark up...

They are wonderful looking birds. Is that Norfolk, VIRGINIA?

  No, sorry Pukasand; it's Norfolk, Ontario (aka Delhi which cannot be located by GPS).

This breeder had quite a few birds (though in smaller breeding cages, he also had small hatches where they could go into MUCH larger outdoor aviaries during the spring, summer and fall). Gouldians of all colours, Masked Grass Finches, Stars of all types, Societies (of course), Diamonds (including fawns and silvers), Forbes, Lutino and Blue-faced Parrot Finches among others. A very nice friendly breeder more than willing to 'chat finches'! =D>

So sorry to hear you lost one of your Diamonds (and you waited so long for them), but glad you were able to get a replacement so quickly. Beautiful new birds, and great to find a good breeder who, though not exactly close, is within driving distance.

Gosh Liz, I didn't realize you had lost one of your diamonds. So sorry.... :(

It sounds like this breeder had a GREAT variety of birds. I love those masked grassfinches. They are so elegant looking to me.
And the forbes are so pretty also. Especially the male.

Even though it isn't really close at least you have someone to go within reason if you want some new birds. And of course you always will!!!
