Sorry to hear about the passing of your firetail. BTW where did you get the firetails from?

Thanks Craig. The first pair of Diamond Firetails were from Casy at $240/pair. This one (along with the BFPF's) was from John in Norfolk for $50.cartel wrote:Boy! that was a long trip, but looks like it was worth itSorry to hear about the passing of your firetail. They are wonderful looking birds. Is that Norfolk, VIRGINIA?

This breeder had quite a few birds (though in smaller breeding cages, he also had small hatches where they could go into MUCH larger outdoor aviaries during the spring, summer and fall). Gouldians of all colours, Masked Grass Finches, Stars of all types, Societies (of course), Diamonds (including fawns and silvers), Forbes, Lutino and Blue-faced Parrot Finches among others. A very nice friendly breeder more than willing to 'chat finches'!

So sorry to hear you lost one of your Diamonds (and you waited so long for them), but glad you were able to get a replacement so quickly. Beautiful new birds, and great to find a good breeder who, though not exactly close, is within driving distance.

Re: Two new birds & one replacement
Gosh Liz, I didn't realize you had lost one of your diamonds. So sorry....
It sounds like this breeder had a GREAT variety of birds. I love those masked grassfinches. They are so elegant looking to me.
And the forbes are so pretty also. Especially the male.
Even though it isn't really close at least you have someone to go within reason if you want some new birds. And of course you always will!!!

Thank you all! The three newbies are doing very well so far. Only 28 more days to go!
