If this turns out to be a male I would be totally amazed. But then again everyone thought the grandmother was a male, from the guy that sold her to me to the breeder that sold it to him. I even had my doubts when I put it in with my male Lilac breast... they did not get along. I seperated it her and then put a female normal color. The lilac would sing ane this bird would jump to the side of her cage and make that distinct hen call.... so I put her back in with him and voila.... They produced 7 chicks.
2 OH LB YM males
2 OH PB YB males
1 OH PB dilute male
2 BH PB YB females
I set the dilute male up with an OH normal that was thrown from a RH and BH pairing. My first OH ever.
So the parents to this red eyes and the 4 OH PB dilut males were OH PB dilute and OH PB NB
So do you think it is still a male?
