:wink: I am new on this site and I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I would like to know how to identify whether or not the finch is male or a female... what are the diferences :?: :lol: :mrgreen:

It totally depends on the species - what kind of finches do you have?

I am not certain... I just recieved it from a friend... but I heard the word 'punk' more than once (but it could be because of the hair sticking-up on his head...) :P

Can you post pictures? Or describe him/her? You might have some luck identifying the breed by looking at the pictures of different finch species here.

A "punk" hairdo makes me thing of a crested society. But a photo would help us say for certain.

The pic is tiny and blurry, but the bird looks like a Society to me.

How do you know it is a male? Societies are difficult to sex visually.
